Heidi Still Suing!

Good! A parole board has decided not to release John Lennon’s killer, Mark David Chapman , after his interview that took place today via teleconference at Attica Correctional Facility in upstate New York. It was Chapman’s sixth appearance before the board since becoming eligible for parole back in 2000. He will be eligible once again in 2012. The board wrote to Chapman that they remain concerned about “the disregard you displayed for the norms of our society and the sanctity of human life when, after careful planning, you travelled to New York for the sole purpose of killing John Lennon” and that “release remains inappropriate at this time and incompatible with the welfare of the community.” Thoughts? Thief James Jimenez has been sentenced to four years in prison for stealing Kristen Dunst ’s $2,000 Balenciaga purse from her room at the Soho Grand hotel in 2007. “I don’t understand the charges,” said Jimenez to the judge. “I don’t understand why I’m being charged.” Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Jill Konviser responded, “I understand, because I presided over this trial and I’m familiar with all the evidence.” Ouch! Jimenez’s lawyers tried to get out of the charges by insisting their client had permission to roam the hotel while the cast and crew of How to Lose Friends & Alienate People took over the building. Kiki’s Purse Burglar Gets Four Years Behind Bars

Paris Hilton was released from jail only three hours after her drug arrest and Las Vegas police are even admitting that they gave the heiress special treatment . She was out of jail in half the time it takes to process people facing similar charges! Metropolitan Police Deputy Chief Jim Dixon, who runs the Clark County Detention Center, did admit that the booking process was expedited to get her a separate room and out of jail ASAP. Dixon added: “Yeah, she was treated differently so I don’t have a disruption of my process here at the county jail. When you bring somebody in like that, everybody comes over and tries to look at them. I’d have officers attempting to keep inmates away from her. I’d have disruptions. She was moved along out of the general area and put in isolation where nobody can actually get to her. … As soon as (her release on her own recognizance) was pushed through, she was kicked out.” Although Jessica Murray of Bob’s Bail Bonds doesn’t think that Paris should have been moved along so fast. “I could understand putting her in a separate room. But I don’t understand putting her above everyone else,” added Murray. “If you’re alleged to commit a crime, you get treated like everybody else.” Paris will appear before Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Joe Bonaventure on October 27th and we’ll see if she gets special treatment then. What’s this all about??? This morning, the charges against Tarino Lightbourne and Pleasant Bridgewater , the two men who were allegedly trying to get millions from John Travolta soon after the tragic death of his son Jett, were dropped . A judge in the Bahamas complied with the request of John himself to free the men of all extortion charges. Sources say that plea baragins for the defendants were in the works for serveral weeks, but the news traveling from the islands say that case has just been closed. But why John? Why would you let these heartless a-holes walk away free and clear? We’re all for moving on and rebuilding a life, but these guys should pay for the pain they have caused you! What gives??? UPDATE: Chief Counsel in the Office of the Attorney General, Neil Braithwaite , released this statement outside the courthouse in the Bahamas shortly after the charges were dropped: “The defendants have been discharged. Stern had overmedicated Smith. On Friday, he changed his tune, claiming that he never witnessed Smith abuse drugs nor did he see Stern force any medication on to her. He also says that he believes Stern shouldn’t be on trial. Eminem ’s gonna get paid! A federal appeals court has found that Eminem’s former production company F.B.T Productions LLC is entitled to royalties by Universal Music Group (UMG) for music downloaded over iTunes or sold as cellphone ringtones. Last year, a federal jury ruled against F.B.T., however, the appeals court ruled on Friday that the contracts between UMG and F.B.T. “unambiguously applies to permanent downloads and master-tones,” which entitles Eminem and his producers to a 50-50 split for recordings licensed to iTunes and other digital distributors. In your face, Shady RV Dealer Guy! Looks like there will be no push-up contest because Taylor Lautner has settled a lawsuit with McMahon’s RV, the dealership who failed to deliver Tay Tay’s $300,000 RV before shooting began on his new film Abduction . His lawyer Robert Barta released a statement: “McMahon’s RV has agreed to settle its dispute with Taylor Lautner. McMahon’s RV will pay $40,000 to Lautner, which Lautner will donate to The Lollipop Theater Network, a children’s charity with which he has a long-standing relationship. The Lollipop Theater Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing movies currently in theaters to children confined to hospitals due to chronic or life-threatening illnesses.
